Feng Shui for homes in Sussex and Surrey

Feng Shui for homes helps you to remove clutter, improve energy and make better use of valuable space.

By balancing the flow of energy and neutralising disruptive elements, Feng Shui makes your home a calmer, happier place to be. You will feel more comfortable in your living space.

As a Feng Shui consultant, I work mainly in Sussex and Surrey. I draw on a combination of natural elements, colour, compass direction, light, ventilation, placement and ergonomic design to put you in control of your space and energy.

As a result:

  • Your home becomes a more welcoming, harmonious environment
  • It improves sleep, mood and overall wellbeing
  • Life becomes less of a struggle. You feel more joyful and secure
  • You can attract abundance and prosperity to your household
  • It clears the path towards what you most desire

Sustainability is important to me. When we’re clearing and decluttering, I’ll help you find ways to dispose of items sustainably. As many as possible will be recycled, reused and regenerated.

My name is Lynn Kingdon. If you’d like a no-obligation conversation about Feng Shui for homes, I’d be delighted to hear from you

What is Feng Shui for the home?

In Chinese, Feng Shui means wind (`feng’) and water (`shui’). It’s derived from a 3,000-year-old Taoist principle that humans are connected to, and flow with, the environment around us.

Decluttering is an important part of Feng Shui. However, it’s more than just a general clear out. The central aim of feng shui is to balance and harmonise the flow of energy (or chi).

Once chi is allowed to flow freely it brings peace and prosperity, good fortune and good health. With the right balance of opposing and complementary elements (or `yin’ and `yang’), you instinctively feel more comfortable in your surroundings.

More generally, Feng Shui gives you room to breathe. You have enough space to listen to yourself and think positively about the future.

Feng Shui at home. How does it work?

You are always in control of the process. I will never tell you what to do, or come in and rearrange your entire living space. This is your home, and any change must feel right for you, both emotionally and practically.

Often, it’s small but significant adjustments which direct the flow of energy.

This is how it works:

  • Conversation — I’ll start by finding out where you are now, and where you’d like to be as a result of a Feng Shui consultation

  • A natal chart — Depending on your date and time of birth, there will be specific natural elements, symbols, colours, imagery and animals which are beneficial for you

  • Analysis — I take a detailed look at your home: its location, environment, outside space, orientation, auspicious and inauspicious areas

  • Consultation — I explain how to make changes, and why they will be beneficial. I’m happy to roll up my sleeves and help you in a practical way

  • Sustainable decluttering — I help you dispose of unwanted items in a sustainable way

  • A written report — I’ll summarise my analysis and recommendations. You can refer back to them whenever you want to make changes in the future

Shall we have a chat? I can explain more about how it works and you can see what you think.

The benefits of Feng Shui for the home

If you feel in need of a change, Feng Shui for the home has the potential to invite new opportunities into your life.

It removes stagnant energy. If areas of the home have remained static for some time, it’s easy to forget that there are other ways to live. Feng Shui is a chance to see things differently. It’s an investment in yourself.

Feng Shui is about creating balance and energy, and there are numerous benefits to this:

  • Reduced levels of stress and anxiety. You can relax and unwind
  • If you work at home, it becomes easier to differentiate between business and family life
  • You can focus on specific areas to improve — be that health, relationships, family, wealth or career
  • It gives you space to think more clearly about the future
  • You’re able to harness positive energy to get there

FAQs

You’ll have questions so I’ve asked some of them here. If your question doesn’t appear, please feel free to get in touch. I’m always happy to provide the answer:

Yes, Feng Shui can work via a video call. The session works on the same principles as an in-person consultation. The only difference is that I’ll be guiding you as you move around your living space, finding its centre and establishing the compass directions.

I’m based in Horsham and will travel throughout East Sussex, West Sussex and Surrey. Don’t worry if you live outside this area. We can arrange an online consultation. Alternatively, I can come and see you in person — although I will need to recover travel expenses.

Yes. I’ll treat your home as one area, but I can narrow down the consultation to specific rooms. In my experience, the most popular rooms tend to be bedrooms and kitchens — but a consultation can focus on anywhere in your home.

Yes. Feng Shui works extremely well in outside spaces because it’s based on creating harmony within the natural environment. I’ll help you use colours, shapes, specific types of plants and water features to make this space a haven of tranquillity and calm.

I’ll need your date of birth and, if known, the time you were born. I’ll also ask you for the dates and times of birth of other people in your household. In addition, I’ll ask for a floorplan of your household. If you can’t get hold of a floorplan, don’t worry. I can give you advice on how to get hold of one, or we can draft a floorplan as part of the consultation.

Please don’t. It’s important for me to see the daily, real world environment in which you’re working. It helps me understand the impact this is currently having on you and your wellbeing.
