Feng Shui consultation

A Feng Shui consultation aims to create harmony between you and your surroundings.

By subtly resetting the space, Feng Shui clears away stagnant energy and creates the right environment for what you desire from life.

I would never rearrange absolutely everything, or suggest getting rid of objects you love. Small changes can make a big difference. For example:

My name is Lynn Kingdon. If you’d like a no-obligation conversation, I’d be delighted to hear from you.

How does a Feng Shui consultation work?

Feng Shui opens a pathway to what you desire in the future — so I’ll start by asking what you want to achieve. If you have a floor plan for your home or place of work, I’ll ask you to send it to me. If not, don’t worry. I can provide advice on how to get hold of one, or draft a floorplan as part of the consultation. I’ll also need the birth data of each individualso that I can prepare a natal chart. After that, we’ll arrange a meeting at your home or workplace. This is how it works:

  • Natal chart — Depending on your date and time of birth, there will be specific natural elements, symbols, colours, imagery and animals which are beneficial for you

  • Analysis — I take a detailed look at the different areas of your home or place of work: compass directions and orientation, furniture and item placement, artwork, colour, the purpose of each room, auspicious and inauspicious areas

  • Practical help — I explain how to make changes, and why they will be beneficial. I’m happy to roll up my sleeves and help you in a practical way

  • Sustainable decluttering — I help you dispose of unwanted items in a sustainable way

  • A written report — I’ll summarise my analysis and recommendations. It will be a helpful resource when you want to make changes in the future

My name is Lynn Kingdon and I’m a Feng Shui consultant working in Surrey and Sussex. Shall we have a chat? I can explain more about how it works and you can see what you think.

The principles of Feng Shui

Feng Shui is rooted in ancient Taoist philosophy — the principle that energy (or chi) runs through everything, including ourselves.

The purpose of Feng Shui is to harness beneficial chi and balance its two opposing but complementary elements `yin’ and `yang’.

Translated literally, Feng Shui means `the way of wind and water’. The flowing movement of these two powerful forces is influenced by the five key elements of Feng Shui — wood, fire, earth, metal and water.

Feng Shui also makes use of Earth’s magnetic forces. This is why compass points are important. They determine the best location of objects and furniture (or even people) to attract good luck, prosperity and harmonious relationships.

Feng Shui in the modern world

Feng Shui is at least 3,000 years old, so it may seem at odds with the modern world. In fact, its principles are timeless. As humans, we are intrinsically linked to our environment.

Spaces affect our moods, feelings and, ultimately, our outcomes in life. A cluttered space can make us feel overwhelmed and out of control. It attracts stagnant energy which can manifest stress, frustration, arguments, poor sleep and inertia.

We always feel better in a balanced, harmonious living or working environment. It gives us a clearer mind and allows us to stop, listen to ourselves and make good decisions about the future. It makes life less of a struggle.

I’m Lynn Kingdon, a Feng Shui consultant. Would you like to get in touch? Tell me what you’d like to achieve and I can explain more about how I can help.

FAQs

You’ll have questions so I’ve asked some of them here. If your question doesn’t appear, please feel free to get in touch. I’m always happy to provide the answer:

An in-person consultation is £496. A virtual online consultation costs £379. I’m happy to offer payment by instalments. Just let me know if you’d like to take this option. We can set a payment schedule which suits both of us.

An in-person consultation takes 2-3 hours. We’ll have at least one discussion beforehand — a pre-consultation about what you want to achieve from the process. Online, it takes around the same amount of time and, again, we will have a discussion beforehand about your objectives.

Yes, Feng Shui can work via a video call. The session works on the same principles as an in-person consultation. The only difference is that I’ll be guiding you as you move around your living space, finding its centre and establishing the compass directions.

I’m based in Horsham and will travel throughout East Sussex, West Sussex and Surrey. Don’t worry if you live outside this area. We can arrange an online consultation. Alternatively, I can come and see you in person — although I will need to recover travel expenses.

I’ll need your date of birth and, if known, the time you were born. I’ll also ask you for the dates and times of birth of other people in your household or business. In addition, I’ll ask for a floorplan of your home or place of work. If you can’t get hold of a floorplan, don’t worry. I can give you advice on how to get hold of one, or we can draft a floorplan as part of the consultation.

Please don’t. It’s important for me to see the daily, real world environment in which you’re living or working. It helps me understand the impact this is currently having on you and your wellbeing.

It’s almost immediate. Once things are moved around and specific colours are introduced, the energy will shift and you will feel the difference.  As for the overall result, the timescale depends on your desired outcome and your willingness to embrace the process. Remember, Feng Shui clears the pathway to what you desire. It sets the wheels in motion, but it won’t do all the work for you. To get the results you want, it’s important to be engaged with the process and open to the idea of change.

If you’re open to it, Feng Shui will continue to provide what you’re looking for. You’re not stuck with what’s happened in the past. You can move forward. Feng Shui is a continual process and once you understand its core principles, you can use them throughout your life.
